Classic houseboats are built for either overnight stays or full day cruise.
So if you want to do a short backwater trip, then a houseboat style shikara ride is best for 2, 3, 4 or 5 hour trips.
Below is the capacity based hourly rates:

What's the food menu included in the package?
The menu on our houseboats depends on the category you choose.
Deluxe, premium or luxury.
All food is cooked fresh in the onboard kitchen. Guests are welcomed with cool drinks, followed by a traditional Kerala lunch with fish, chicken & vegitarian dishes.
In the evening – tea & snacks are served.
Dinner includes chappatti with chicken curry, veg sides, dal & salad.
Breakfast will be typical south Indian style: Idly, Sambar or English breakfast.
Premium & luxury packages offer extra dishes, desserts & a wider choice of Kerala flavours.
Are there any hidden charges?
No, we believe in transparent pricing. The above pricing table is to give you an idea how the rates are.
You can get the exact price from the bookings page.
Then, there won’t be any extra or hidden charges on top of it. It’ll be inclusive of the cruise, all meals mentioned in the package, crew wages & even including GST.
How much advance payment is required to confirm a booking?
We usually take 50% of the houseboat package cruise to lock your slot & confirm your booking.
But if you’re not comfortable with doing that, you can even do a smaller advance payment for your booking confirmation.
You can pay the remaining amount on arrival.
Why don't houseboats have a fixed pricing?
Just like most tourist destinations, there is a significant price increasing during peak seasons & on holidays.
We recommend booking in advance to get the best rate.
What is the cancellation & refund policy?
We have a customer-friendly cancellation policy. Typically, it’s:
- Cancellation 30 days or more before booking date: Full refund.
- Cancellation between 15 to 30 days before tour date: 50% refund.
- Cancellation within 15 days of cruise: No refund. This is to avoid our loss since we will be locking the slot & keeping the boat just for you.
For that exact reason, when you book with us – you will get the same boat. We don’t scam our guests by sending one picture & giving you another boat.
